The Kilmore International School (TKIS) is conveniently located in a healthy, rural setting in the town of Kilmore, 58 kilometres North of Melbourne's CBD, linked via freeway to both the city and Melbourne's International Airport. Kilmore is particularly suitable as an educational centre as it does not suffer the social problems that plague larger cities.
The motto of the school is "Excellentia Academica Persequenda" which literally means the pursuit of academic excellence. Our mission is to encourage each and every student to reach their full academic potential. The school unique in Australia in providing to all students in Years 11 and 12 the prestigious and academically rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

The School was established in 1989 to offer students the full International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) as an academically demanding, prestigious and internationally credible alternative to the local Victorian or other Australian high school curricula. The school is independent, non-denominational and co-educational and caters for local and international day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.
At TKIS we are committed to the development of outstanding thinkers who are able to live life to the fullest as true citizens of the world. A comprehensive program of high level instruction is complemented by a wide range of cultural, social and sporting experiences and these combine to provide an enriched educational experience. We regard academic excellence as the key to enhanced life opportunities and access to universities of first choice around the world as the natural extension of our program. Students here can benefit from contact with our graduates at Oxford University, The London School of Economics, Yale and other highly sought after universities in Australia and overseas. The School is extremely proud of its graduate outcomes and has an excellent success rate with 100% of students gaining a place at a tertiary institution.
