Monday, 08 February 2010

Acclaimed Australian singing group Pot-Pourri have received strong interest to tour various venues in China in 2010 and 2011 but are seeking support to help them get to China. The group is seeking sponsorship for its proposed tour or looking for China-based companies interested in engaging the group for any major conferences or events during 2010.

Invitations to date include performances for World Expo and touring of major theatres in China for a Christmas - New Year season of "Aussies from Opera to Broadway" including at the beautiful Shanghai Oriental Art Centre and in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Changzhou, Taizhou and Hefei.

Recently named BT Publishing’s Australian Event Entertainer of the Year, fabulous Melbourne group Pot-Pourri have enchanted audiences around the world on over 40 international tours with their inspiring and unique sound, much-loved repertoire of opera, music theatre and song and their inimitable warmth and wit. The group has just returned from international success in Asia, New Zealand and Europe. Its talented artists hit those high C’s in Opera, belt out Broadway, seduce with song, dance up a storm and create magic to stir your soul with haunting didgeridoo and ballads!

They also present customized feature entertainment at a huge range of dinners, conferences, launches, trade fairs and other special events. They can write special lyrics and design a program to suit your theme and audience. They have received standing ovations at 30 out of their most recent 35 performances.

The group has released six CDs. Pot-Pourri has a fan base of over 40,000 people nationally and internationally. The group has presented over 1500 live performances throughout Australia and overseas over the past 20 years.

Be enchanted and entertained by the greatest hits of Pavarotti and The Three Tenors, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Carmen, Edith Piaf, Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra, IL DIVO, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Ennio Morricone, Andrew Lloyd Webber and many more.

Pot-Pourri is an outstanding group to further relations between Australia and China as the artists make a special effort to present some of their performance in Chinese including famous Chinese songs by artists including Teresa Teng. The diversity in Pot-Pourri's performance and the range of international, Chinese and Australian repertoire and interactive comedy crosses all boundaries of background, nationality and culture. Pot-Pourri's dedication to high-quality artistry, humour and diversity results in creating a positive, open and uplifted mood for the audience, whilst projecting a positive image of Australia and its acceptance of other cultures.

Pot-Pourri’s success is largely due to their ability to be innovative with traditional art forms and adapt to each unique audience. They are clever, fresh and creative thinking and will create a show that is memorable, funny and moving and can highlight any sponsors in a subtle and unique way. The group's performances are an ideal vehicle for inviting and building relationships and networks with important VIPs as they are interactive and bring people together in a powerful and meaningful way. This will enhance the potential for Australian business people to engage effectively with China across all sectors of business, arts, industry, education, finance, government and trade. The group has often been engaged to perform for major trade expos and VIP gala dinner events to bridge links between different cultures including Australia-Germany Association, Taiwan Australia Business Council etc.
