Meanwhile, Chinese media has announced that Adelaide Zoo will receive a pair of giant pandas from China by the end of the year. The assurance was made during Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang’s recent visit to Australia during a meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard. The chosen pair, Wangwang and Funi, currently reside at the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda in southwest China's Sichuan Province. |
