From January 2011, QF 30, which currently departs daily at 9.50am, will be changed to flight number QF86 and depart Hong Kong in the evening at 8.05pm. Currently, passengers travelling from mainland China, including Beijing, to Melbourne via Hong Kong, need to spend a night on the island before picking up the Melbourne leg the following morning. The new schedule will facilitate better connection times for flights between Beijing and Melbourne. The Melbourne-Hong Kong flight remains unchanged, departing Mebourne at 11.55pm and arriving the following day in Hong Kong at 5.50am. ■ |
