In November, 25 Deputy Vice-Chancellors and senior executives from leading top-tier universities in China undertook a five-day China University Presidents Program in Sydney.  The executive leadership program aims to improve higher education leadership and management practices in Chinese universities and encourage knowledge exchange between executive and senior managers of Chinese education institutions and their overseas counterparts. It is run by the University of Sydney’s Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific (RIAP) and is part of a broader multi-country initiative by China’s Ministry of Education and National Academy of Education Administration which encourages senior university executives from China to travel to Australia as well as the UK, the US and other countries to participate in executive development programs on university leadership and management. |
