Viva Macau lands in Melbourne
Thursday, 10 December 2009

Viva Macau Airlines has launched a twice-weekly direct Economy and Business class service between Macau and Melbourne in addition to its existing Sydney service. The low cost international carrier is currently offering special fares from A$339 for a roundtrip economy class ticket and A$699 for a roundtrip business class ticket.
"The Macau-Melbourne route is a significant milestone for Viva Macau and we are pleased to provide affordable air travel for tourism, business, and conferences” said Viva Macau CEO Dr Reg Macdonald.
"Macau is Asia’s Las Vegas: an incredible place, with the airport at its heart. Also, Macau is rich in history with UNESCO World Heritage Sites nestled in the centre of Macau.”
Viva Macau Airlines will operate two flights per week on its Macau-Melbourne route, every Thursday and Saturday from Melbourne to Macau, every Wednesday and Saturday from Macau to Melbourne.
The airline currently flies direct from Macau to Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Sydney and Melbourne.
Macau is a 55-minute ferry ride from Hong Kong and 10-minute drive to Zhuhai.
