Our client is an international bank whose activities are extensive and provides its clients with seamless global support. They are currently looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team and assist with all regulatory issues for their business in China.
The individual should ideally have a compliance or operations background, and preferably have been working a compliance role in China for at least three years. They should be familiar with all branch procedures regarding daily operations for both RMB and foreign currency regulations. This position will be based in Shanghai and will report to the Head of Compliance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide any regulatory support to ensure that the bank operates within the regulatory guidelines established by local regulators
• Participate in new business development
• Timely follow up and advise management with the new CSRC/CIRC/PBOC/CBRC/SAFE regulations
• Surveillance on trading position, personal account dealing, monitor internal conflict resolution
• Registration and licensing responsibility for the bank and individuals
• Implementation of internal and external policy requirement
• Prepare Group and Regulatory Compliance Reports
• Conduct compliance related trainings
• Coordinate with regional compliance on policy and regulatory requirement to comply with group guidelines
• Liaison with local regulators on compliance/business issues

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Three or more years banking experience, preferable in compliance related areas
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Good communication skills
• Like to build up future career in the compliance area
