One high profile project involves providing technical advice to on the manufacture of passenger railcars. The client has a team of professionals working with the primary manufacturing contractor to ensure the end product is produced to design requirements, and to conduct tests to verify compliance.

The client is currently seeking to replace a leader in the team and are seeking qualified mechanical engineers.

The Job:

* To oversee and monitor the manufacturing procurement of the rolling stock including progress monitoring, prepare inspection & audit schedules, conduct validation and verification inspections & audits, input to monthly meetings and reports, interface and coordination with the Contractor's organization.
* Provide reports to enable progressive certification of the construction / manufacturing compliance with design and Contract requirements.
* Supervision, management and control of the Mechanical Inspector to meet the project management plan and manufacturing schedule.
* Technical assessment and compliance review of manufacturing operations for trains and simulators.

The Person

* Minimum 10 years technical experience in a senior mechanical engineer role.
* Previous experience in overseeing the manufacturing, delivery, testing and commissioning of rolling stock.
* Candidates should have a design background and knowledge of quality assurance auditing.
* Candidates will have a strong technical / manufacturing skill base. They will be comfortable addressing and solving problems with contractor.
* Excellent communication skills are essential candidates will have good to fluent Mandarin & English.
* International work experience preferred.
